Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Ship Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operation of our fleet of ships based in Egypt. The Ship Manager will play a crucial role in coordinating various aspects of vessel management, ensuring compliance with regulations, and optimizing operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vessel Operations: Manage and supervise day-to-day operations of assigned ships, ensuring adherence to safety standards and industry regulations.
2. Maintenance Oversight: Collaborate with maintenance teams to plan and execute routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities to keep the fleet in optimal condition.
3. Crew Management: Coordinate the recruitment, training, and scheduling of shipboard personnel. Foster a positive working environment and ensure compliance with crewing regulations.
4. Budget Management: Work closely with financial teams to develop and manage budgets related to vessel operations, maintenance, and crewing.
5. Compliance Assurance: Stay informed about and ensure compliance with international and local maritime regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
6. Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans, and act as a point of contact during critical incidents.
7. Performance Optimization: Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and performance of the fleet.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in ship management or a related maritime role.
• In-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations and industry best practices.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
